Claire Stokes Permanent Make-up Artist and Andvanced Skin Treatment Specialist

Meet Claire Stokes
(Founder of PMU Focus)

My journey in the Beauty Industry started back in 1996, a year that marked the beginning of my lifelong fascination with all things skin-related. It all began at De Montfort University in Lincoln, where I embarked on my education and pursuit of excellence. Notably, I was awarded the coveted title of "Student of the Year" – a recognition of my dedication and commitment.

Completing my NVQ Level 3 well ahead of schedule was just the start. As a reward, I was granted a year's worth of complimentary courses at the International Dermal Institute. This experience laid the firm foundation for my enduring passion for skincare, a passion that would continue to drive my career in the years to come.

But my thirst for knowledge and desire to empower others didn't stop there. In 2001, I pursued my Level 3 Teaching Certificate, setting the stage for a new chapter in my career. Over time, I also obtained qualifications in Assessors and Internal Quality Assurance, culminating in my Level 4 Certificate in Adult Education in 2006.

For a significant portion of my career, I dedicated 13 years to teaching, both on a part-time and full-time basis, primarily in Further Education Colleges located nearby. However, a pivotal moment arrived when I returned to work after a period of maternity leave.

Instead of resuming full-time teaching at my local Further Education College, I made a bold decision. I chose to establish my own beauty and holistic therapies clinic, a venture that would set the stage for remarkable transformations. Over the past 14 years, my business has undergone a remarkable evolution.

Starting as a humble beauty salon with a team of talented therapists, we adapted and grew. In 2016, we transitioned into an advanced skin and Micropigmentation clinic, a move that reflected the ever-evolving demands and preferences of our valued clients.

More recently, in 2022, I expanded my horizons further by introducing mentoring and training services. Collaborating with Laura Kay London, I've had the privilege of serving as an Assessor and IQA. Nationally, I've had the opportunity to train fellow artists in the practical application of Botched Ink Removal Serum, contributing to the growth of this exciting field.

Today, my career is a testament to my unyielding passion for skincare, my commitment to education, and my drive to adapt and innovate. My journey is far from over, and I eagerly anticipate helping you in your quest for knowledge in Skin and Permanent Make-up.
