Removal Training

botched 3.png

Develop the practical skills, clinical judgement and confidence to offer professional Botched Ink® saline removal treatments.

Botched Ink® training combines comprehensive online theory with an in-person practical workshop at my Grantham clinic. You will learn the recognised Botched Ink® treatment method while benefiting from my own experience of treating complex PMU removal and correction cases.

With more than eight years specialising in Botched Ink® removal, I bring genuine treatment experience into the classroom—helping you understand not only how to perform the procedure, but how to assess the skin, select appropriate cases and make responsible treatment decisions.

Learn PMU Removal from Experience

More Than a Removal

Technique

More Than a Removal Technique

Adding removal to your skill set is not simply about learning how to implant a saline solution.

Effective PMU removal requires you to understand the skin, recognise pigment behaviour, manage client expectations and know when treatment is—or is not—appropriate.

This training will help you approach removal thoughtfully and responsibly, so that you can protect the skin while working towards the best realistic outcome for your client.

Three feature cards

Assess with Confidence
Learn to evaluate previous PMU, skin condition, pigment saturation and treatment suitability.

Treat with Purpose
Develop controlled, adaptable practical skills rather than following a technique mechanically.

Make Better Decisions
Understand when saline removal may be appropriate and when a different approach, further healing or referral should be considered.

Your online learning is purchased directly through Botched Ink® and completed through the PMU Pro Network™ platform before attending your practical workshop.

The online programme includes approximately eight hours of manageable lessons covering both the foundations of saline tattoo removal and more advanced correction and removal knowledge.

Once your online learning has been completed, you will attend your hands-on model class with me at my Grantham clinic.

The four-hour workshop includes demonstration, practical guidance and supported work on models. Classes are generally delivered one-to-one unless a small-group workshop has been specifically advertised.

Your practical session is designed to connect the theory you have completed with real treatment decisions and hands-on application.

Why Add Removal to Your

PMU Business?

PMU clients do not always arrive with a blank canvas.

You may encounter work that is oversaturated, poorly shaped, uneven, heavily altered in colour or unsuitable for further pigment implantation.

Professional removal training enables you to:

Offer an ethical alternative to repeatedly covering unwanted work

Create space for better future PMU

Support clients who feel distressed by unwanted results

Make more informed correction and removal decisions

           Develop a valuable specialist service

Strengthen your reputation as a responsible PMU professional

Sometimes the most skilled decision is not to add more pigment.

Why Botched Ink®?

Botched Ink® is a non-acidic saline removal system developed specifically for permanent makeup. Its method is designed to support effective pigment lifting while prioritising controlled treatment and skin health.

Following successful completion, eligible technicians receive benefits including:

          Botched Ink® certification

Recognition as an official Botched Ink® technician

Access to Botched Ink® professional products

          Ongoing learning updates and refreshers

          Access to specialist support

Eligibility for inclusion on the Botched Ink® “Find a Tech” map while active

Great Days Training!

Had a great days trying with Claire and would highly recommend training with her. She put me at ease straight away which really helped. She explained the process thoroughly and was very patient whilst I was learning. We had 2 models in which really helped the learning and understanding the technique. Thank you Claire.

Kimberley Shelley

I recently completed my online training with Botched Ink™️ followed by my in-person training with Claire Stokes, and I honestly couldn’t recommend the training highly enough.

I completed the online training first and found it extremely informative, with the course being really easy to follow. Before starting the online training, I printed out all of the training manuals and immersed myself in all of the information. I found this really useful because, by the time I moved onto the online videos, I already had so much of the theory in my head that everything started to make perfect sense. It really helped everything come together and made me feel much more prepared for the practical training.

When I arrived for my in-person training with Claire, she was super friendly, welcoming and reassuring. We started with some mat work to check my depth and coverage before I observed the first model of the day. Seeing the treatment being carried out in person brought everything from the online training together, and nothing felt daunting.

I then worked on the second model of the day, and it all felt really natural. Claire was there to oversee everything and make sure I was carrying out the technique correctly, while also popping in with those little handy tips and reminders that are so valuable when learning. I felt really supported throughout the treatment and came away feeling confident in what I had learned.

For anyone working in PMU, I would highly recommend training in Botched Ink™️. Over the years, I have had an incredible number of clients who I have had to send elsewhere for removal because I didn’t offer the service myself. Being able to provide removal in-house is going to make such a huge difference, both for my clients and my business.

One particular client really highlights why this training is so valuable. In 2024, she came to me for a refresh on her already tattooed brows. After assessing them, I advised her that she needed removal before I could safely create a new set of brows. At the time, I didn’t offer removal, so she went elsewhere to have the removal carried out.

Unfortunately, after the removal, the technician then restarted her brows. She came back to see me a few weeks ago and, after assessing them, they now require removal again as they were placed incorrectly.

This time, rather than having to send her elsewhere, I can carry out the removal myself using Botched Ink™️. Once we have achieved the result we need, I’ll be able to create a beautiful new set of brows for her.

This is exactly why I wanted to train in Botched Ink™️. It means I can take on many more clients and, more importantly, help to rescue and revive PMU for clients who need their work removed or lightened for whatever reason.

I’m so pleased I invested in this training and I’m really excited to put my new skills into practice. If you’re a PMU artist considering adding removal to your services, I would highly recommend Botched Ink™️ and the in-person training with Claire Stokes. Claire’s knowledge, support and guidance made the practical training such a positive experience, and I’m so glad I chose to train with her.
